In honor of recent stand up comedy recs…
pulled up to his night in Bridgeport CT (my hometown) by myself strictly as a fan boy, went to the bathroom right before he was supposed to come on and he was standing there in the hallway w the host.
He complimented my Jesus hoodie and I dapped him up briefly and swiftly, but knowing he was going on I didn’t stretch the interaction. Came back from the bathroom and he was still there so I asked for a pic, put the Puerto Rico national baseball team hat on him, and told him to stick up his middle finger. Legendary.

Went to a big comedy festival awards ceremony because my work was nominated for two awards (we lost both). Took mouse as my date. We were leaving after it finished and got chatting to our friend on the way out and then out walked Stewart Lee who had won the legend of comedy award. He joined our conversation and we had a lovely time chatting to him. One of the organisers of the festival came over to tell us there was an after party and would we like to come. So anyway we ended up walking to the "after party" which was a pub all the way across town just me, Nancy, festival organiser and Stewart Lee. It took a while for the other comics to filter in but they arrived in dribs and drabs until there was about twelve of us. We spent all night in the pub getting really hammered and talking about art and life and Nick Cave all sat around one table eating crisps. Stewart is an exceptionally lovely man. When he left the pub everyone just burst into laughter like "what just happened!!!". One of my favourite nights ever. A few days later Stewart wrote an article about it. i Am a proud fan of weird women!!!
Newest weird woman acquisition: the cute shy girl from my MBA program with a curly bob and red highlights.
Shes so quiet and shy, we’ve had every class together so far over 3 semesters and barely ever spoke aside from her saying happy Valentine’s Day to me in February. Fast forward to this semester I sit next to her first day of finance class and decide to Be friendly and chat. She’s quiet but cool so I get her number, offer to maybe study later in the semester (which is a mild courtesy as I was lowkey just gaining new allies in the class to assist with cheating).
But once I started texting her about class we just never stopped texting, and now I think we’re actively flirting? Shes into dark romance novels? she brought one of her novels to class yesterday and after class she snuggled up against me in the hallway and made me read a (very graphic) page about a girl getting fucked by a gun? This chick is nuts. Am I catching feelings?
