one my mom had to borrow a cup of sugar from her mean aunt who lived next door and in her kid brain she thought her aunt was mean and replaced it with salt instead long story short my mom accidentally got a bunch of sugar up her nose bc again kid brain told her to smell it instead of tasting it. thank god it wasn’t salt - anyways, lending salt and or sugar is nice

not only are they the only immediate people in any case of emergency; i would pay my neighbor to make a little extra of whatever she was cooking so, i could be fed. another time, my neighbor helped me track down and capture a snake in my backyard. you can steal their power/electricity idk

Borrow a cup of sugar or ask to use their spare wrench. Offer an egg or two or feed their cat. Bring back community life!

opening jars, moving furniture, why does my car sound funny… ply your neighbors with cookies and charm and call on them as needed! it’s how I’ve kept my precious hands soft.
