whenever I was hungover I always wanted to watch Fincher for some reason. Zodiac, Fight Club, Se7en, Mindhunter. Theres something so specifically man-centric about most of his work that meant I could watch them with a detachedness that requires very little brain power. Even though basically all of them involve women being killed brutally, so really shouldn’t be comforting.

They are the shit! I’ve been watching old Alfred Hitchcock movies such as the birds, vertigo and rope. I love them all. Underrated pieces of art. They led me to other films like The Seventh Seal or Metropolis. Rear window absolutely worth it. All are hidden or not so hidden gems worth watching.

His films are so funny and smart and calculated. It's all about the sinister nature of humanity and fears. They're not at all boring and they're super classic genre so.

A favorite. I don’t think I have a singular favorite. I still think of Sorcerer (1977) weekly two years after I first saw it. The rest of his catalogue is just as memorable and subversive.

They look like alien plants and the bees fucking love them and they propagate themselves so easily. You plant one and next year you’ll have 10.

I am by no means traditionally religious, but I fully understand how being in the presence of beautiful stained glass can feel like being with god. ALWAYS stop off at a church on the way if you think it might have good stained glass. The bluebells in the bottom right corner of this made me loose my breath for a moment.
