I have a few people whose work I consistently enjoy: - Jenny Nicholson (classic) - Shanspeare (artful) - Mina Le (well-researched) - elle literacy (pop culture focused) - Mike’s Mic (comedy deep dives) - Salem Tovar (nuanced) - Scott Cramer (genre-bending, and just plain fun) - tiffanyferg (super interesting topics) - oliSUNvia (organized, complex) - D’Angelo Wallace (very thoughtful) - Defunctland (pretty specific, but really well written & edited) - F.D Signifier (intricate & conversational)

Currently getting through Dan Olson/Folding Idea’s latest video. All of his stuff is great and thoroughly well researched. Some of my fave videos of his: Tuca & Bertie, Flat Earth, and *his critique* of the Nostalgia Critic's *critique* of The Wall by Pink Floyd - his videos on NFTs and The Metaverse are fantastic too In no particular order, here's some more YouTubers I'm subbed to: (would love to write up a paragraph for each of them but don't want to take up too much space!) Sorry to use a pretentious word like cinephile, but it had to be done. This is for the friend groups who take forever to decide what to watch on movie night. Also, this app is very much for the chronically indecisive peeps who have a backlogged watchlist on Letterbox — I see you, I am you. I haven’t heard anyone talk about this free app, but it is essentially a site where you can keep track of movies/shows you’ve been meaning or wanting to watch. A Few Features I Like: - It can be set up to notify you when something on your list becomes available on any streaming platform you’re subscribed to - you can sort your list by exactly what you’re in the mood for (genre, length of film, decade of release) - easy importation of watch lists from other sites or sources (Letterboxd) - My FAVORITE part by far is the spinny wheel that helps you choose something to watch (either from your list, preferences, or what’s currently popular)
