i started learning tarot recently, and started with the buffy themed tarot deck. i really love it and resonated with it very quickly. so far, tarot has been a nice practice that helps me look inward or look at things i wouldn't have thought to consider. i enjoy it enough that i was like "y'know what, it would be nice to have a small deck to bring around and also be able to use with other people too if they wanted" (i only use the buffy for me) so i got the nifty smith waite centennial deck in a tin and i love it too. i love the more muted colors, i love having pamela coleman smith's lettering and i love how it's the right size where i can just chuck it into a bag (+my crystals) and have that little bit of magic with me if i want a little guidance.

my favourite is the pagan cats tarot deck. i also like small spells, mesquite, pagan otherworlds, apparition, and the classic smith-rider-waite. pull cards for creative inspiration and inquiry, not predicting ;)

my family has been practicing witchcraft for many generations, so dipping my toes into our practice was not hard at all. however, as i've grown older, i've diverted into my own personal practice and created a mix of both. divination is my specialty, and working with spirits and deities is my favorite thing to do. when i do a tarot reading, i usually just let it happen and allow my "spiritual team" to freely tell me what they want me to know. sometimes it's about me, other times it's about the people around me, and i just pass the messages along. i find this particular method works wonders for me when i do readings for other people because sometimes i'll just become a vessel, and the puzzle pieces will simply connect on their own. as for my preferred deck, i don't really have one (i have probably around a dozen). i like to think that every deck has a life of its own and they all serve a different purpose. some are more maternal and soft, while others are very straightforward and sharp-edged. so, it varies depending on the situation.

Funny, I was thinking about making a post on this! I first started back in 2010. I was in an abusive relationship, and every. Single. Reading. I pulled the tower card (Iykyk). I’ve been practicing consistently since. My favorite deck is the Vision Quest Tarot Deck, though I have many. I read for myself, and I love reading for others (most recently someone on here! 💗). I see it as a channel and it is a gift to be the conduit. I’ve always felt very connected to spirit and have some other practices I keep close to the vest. It’s been lovely connecting and growing with it.

going to see challengers on my own today! and i'm very excited. i'm someone who actually doesn't mind going to the cinema alone. i've done it so many times over the years, and totally do not get people who say it's sad. if i lived somewhere where i could go to late night screenings on my own, i would do it all the time. sometimes i end up making a friend, sometimes i just get to sit and get sucked in and then i get to leave and choose my favorite place to eat. it's a nice way to spend a day on your own, and i think more people (especially people in their 20s) should take themselves on little dates.

if i had a comfort sitcom, this would be it :,) sadly it only has two short seasons, so i've seen every episode at least 10 times. (if you're going to watch it, make sure to look up the right episode order because it aired out of order.) when i'm at a loss for what i want to watch, i put it on. somehow despite having seen it a bajillion times, the gags still land. there's also something so inherently 2000s about it with its slightly outdated jokes and energy that i find charming. it's the same way i feel about 2 broke girls. it's just fun hjinks with people who are kind of messed up!!!

to me figs smell like summer. i love fig scents, especially if they smell a bit more green than fruity. my favorite perfume smells a bit like the green-ness(?) but also fresh, clean dirt after the rain. if not fig, i am very much a sandalwood person or blackcurrant one. i like smelling nice but not necessarily floral. :)
