i listened to this album 4 times in a row today. it put me in a great mood. i love life. i am never ever ever going to kill myself.

when i was going through the worst period of my life this album was basically the only thing i could listen to and it DID make things worse but it ALSO made me feel like a beautiful and doomed manhattan heiress in a glittering 80s crime drama and now when i relisten to it i’m like damn glad that’s over but also when will i have such cinematic problems again

By Nine Inch Nails has been played at least 4 times. It accompanied me as I rose at noon, went to linger with a friend for pho at a lovely hole in the wall, drank a vietnamese coffee, stammered and dropped my groceries in front of the hot trader joe’s cashier, trailed behind said friend at target as she sniffed every lotion, and finally went back to her house for “homework” and mainly watched kill bill. I was wordlessly served yet another coffee and a stir fry with kimchi cucumbers, which warmed my heart greatly. I then laid in bed on this app and set my alarm for 6:00 AM to begin a brand new phase of life tomorrow…

1. helps me relax + clear my head + forget about work way more than going on my phone (plus i go on my phone secretly all day anyway so it's not even a treat to do it at lunch)
2. i've burned through a ton of books by reading just 15-30 minutes per day. i recommend this very much if you find it hard to "find time" to read

a man buys "one of those pale things drifting in alcohol plasma" in a jar from a sideshow. he and his neighbors look at it and wonder what's inside. weird, whimsical, sad. kind of a story about stories, belief, and coping with life.
