ok iā€™ve lived here for like a year and i mostly move around central london cause my campus is here so bear that in mind maybeā€¦? southbank center and the barbican have really cool stuff going on all the time but you should check whatā€™s on depending on when youā€™re going. if youā€™re feeling silly you could go to a private view, i use this website to find them but not all of them are equally greatā€¦ my favorite park is st james park but like obviously the kew gardens slayā€¦ i would say thereā€™s no reason to actually go to soho bc its so crowded and shit but if u wanna go to chinatown then eat at four seasons/little four seasonsā€¦ im struggling to think of what else there is to do so if u have specific things u wanna do feel free to ask me! i also might actually have amsterdam recs bc i was there last summerā€¦.

get the overground around Hackney ! Itā€™s pretty! most of the museums/galleries have free collections (both Tate modern & Tate Britain, national gallery, V&A as already mentioned ā€” V&A definitely worth a visit) . i also love the museum of the home, the photographerā€™s gallery, & the ICA (ICA has a cinema and brilliant bookshop also, & itā€™s v near Trafalgar Square so you can combine classic tourist activity with Something more obscure lol!). I am a big shopping gworl so i actually love dipping around carnaby street and libertys (which is so beautiful inside!). depends where youre staying etc and if it stays sunny but honestly the quintessential summer thing to do would be : Sit in a pub with a garden !!!!! & again - as itā€™s summer - highly recommend finding a gross little club or gig to go to. if Iā€™m bored I just check resident advisor or dice and see whats coming up. if youā€™re comfortable sharing which area youā€™re staying in then I can send more specific recs hehe

wear your shoes till the soles come off. you donā€™t need a new shirt. STOP mindlessly consuming things!!! enough!!! go sit outside for 10 minutes and think about if you are actually lacking anything material in your life (youā€™re probably not). if you do need new things have a thing-exchange with your friends itā€™s so fun! stop falling victim to overconsumption
