Being a DJ

Being a DJ is one of the coolest things you can do in 2022. I’d like to live in a world where everyone DJs during lunch break, after work, before bed. The anime series “D4DJ: First Mix” is an idyllic example of such a place. When you meet someone new and you’re talking about music and you say “this one hits when I spin it at the club” or “I have a really cool remix of that on my USB”, your hotness increases so much. My first DJ set was in high school at Utopia Studios in St. Louis, Missouri and I played so much festival dubstep to a crowd of unknowing prep school kids. Since then it’s been much more of the same.

at a pub and the dj is playing a trance edit of Justin Bieber - Beauty and the Beat And she’s feeling it! will never not appreciate the joy of DJing because it’s just an opportunity to mix all the songs that you missed out on in the clubs bc u were 12 lol

walking

I’ve been going on walks lately & they’ve been helping my mood a lot. Usually this time of year I succumb to seasonal depression (or maybe just my major depression) but I’m realizing that I don’t have to be JUST sad. I can be sad while doing other things, like walking or writing. I’m trying to do things I like & I’m trying to like who I am, even when I am sad.

Warmth of fall

My warmest memories happen in the Fall. I feel like things start slowing down. Things get busier, but the air is cooler and lighter. There’s less pressure. I see my friends more often. And the days are shorter and maybe depression gets heavier but the drives are more scenic and the moon feels closer. The start of Fall has always felt like a new beginning. I think Fall is when my year really begins :)
