i’m really into handcrafted or small brand cards! i always get something that i think matches the recipient’s vibe. and always something with a cute/quirky/pretty/nice design on the front (nothing completely blank like a single color). text can be on the front but either way i usually try for cards that are blank inside so i can write as much as i want. i date them in the top right corner, and sign with a little heart and/or smiley depending on the person. xoxo madi :)

very simple but thoughtful gesture. I love to get people cards and doodle or write a little note in them. it’s personal but not too personal, it’s something you can do for almost any occasion, can be as casual or as serious as you want, I just love to get somebody a card. people love receiving a nice card!! if you wanna make it really special you can make the card yourself. so lovely

made one for my boyfriend that has a fun heart-shaped fold and i painted it with watercolors and made all sorts of heart designs and wrote his name in cursive and it was very cute and fun to make!! also if ur not great with words just the thought and effort put into a hand-made card conveys a lot <3

being traditionally cool is really quite boring and iterative, and it’s actually very cool and sexy to geek out about something you like or share bits of knowledge on a topic you’re passionate about

i had it for a little over a year until i was like wow this is actually terrible! i genuinely think it has negatively impacted society by ruining people’s attention spans, having a horrific algorithm, and most of all by the most mind-numbing or outright harmful trends - fake words that people now use IRL (“unalive”), trad wife tiktok, shein hauls, body-focused fitness vids that encourage fatphobia and unhealthy habits, shallow political/feminist theory and queer discourse, “alpha male” podcaster tiktok, encouraging overconsumption in general, trends ruining local spots or niche things… the list goes on
