I can’t tell you how many people I’ve come to recognize from them walking past the window of where I work every day. Some of them I have a rapport with. Some wave. Some don’t even know they’re in my life. Sometimes I see them in other places in the city. It’s kind of sweet, it makes the city feel small

I probably won’t ever talk to them or even say hi, but it feels good to see people I recognize around my neighborhood or on the commute. Oh shit it’s the guy with the blue hair. Is that the woman who had that amazing coat? There’s that server from the ramen spot.

obviously not in a creepy way but once you start doing this you’ll actually recognize the same people if you’re in a walking neighborhood and it starts to really feel like a village! Love recognizing an old coworker, your local tailor, or just nodding at your barista on the street :)

Someone must lose, and losing deliciously is a service to those who must bear witness. Sportsmanship is bankrupt. Lose well – pitch a fit, go bald, step on your own glasses, spill wine, punch a wall, hurl accusations, drink and drive, lose custody, develop a cocaine habit. Someone must lose. You must lose.
