if it makes you feel any better i work at a production company (in the digital dept) and often feel like i’m out of my depth. i don’t know the film lingo!!! i like what others have said here, ask lots of questions :) most people are nice and if they’re not you probably don’t want to connect with them anyway

If you want to work on film sets, go work on film sets. It's blue collar work. You learn by experience, not with a degree. If you want to write screenplays, read screen plays. Study english if you want a degree. If you want to be a cinematographer, or an editor, or VFX artist, watch a youtube video and start making shit. Study journalism or comms or multimedia if you want a degree.
