Firstly, Printed Matter duh. I love it there, it truly is a hub of cultural phenomenons and information on everything and anything you can find in book-form. I also checked out Climax recently since they opened their East Village location. SOOOOO cute. very small, but amazing amazing selection. Dashwood is a classic. Miwa has my heart, shoutout her. Mast is cool but they give a little too pretentious for my liking. I still go in every time I pass it though. Karma is sick, has a really cool collection of Purple's first volumes and such. But I'm looking for more shops, lmk where I should gooooo!

Molasses Books (Bushwick) - I always find something good here. They have a tiny little bar so you can get coffee, tea, beer or wine. Always a nice ambiance Honeymoon Coffee (Ridgewood) - their books are curated by Molasses so it’s a nice selection & the coffee/treats are good Topos Bookstore (Ridgewood) - great selection of books, though I find more at Molasses typically. They also have coffee/tea! Cute outdoor seating area Aeon Books (LES/Chinatown) - maybe my favorite bookstore. Lovely selection of old and new. They also have a little corner with records for sale (Found a cool Francis Bebey record there once) Dashwood Bookstore (NOHO I guess?) - owner is so sweet & the photo book selection is incredible

For new books: McNally Jackson (kinda an obvious choice, always a really good selection, Soho & Williamsburg locations) Greenlight Bookstore (my local new books bookstore, where I go most often, Fort Greene BK) For used books: Housing Works Bookstore (some great finds here, housing works is a nonprofit that fights AIDS and homelessness, they mostly have thrift stores but also this 1 used book shop!) The Strand (another obvious one but I go here so often too tbh) Unnameable Books (many people have said this already but want to +1 it! my local shop!)

Entropy is a small magazine I created. For the first volume, I focused on the transition from teenage years to early 20s. It featured 20 contributors who submitted work reflecting on said topic, sharing their perspectives and the navigation of self during this crucial period of discovery. Here's a short blurb more about the theme: Entropy: Lack of Order. Displacement, losing, finding, learning, thinking, claiming, creating, coming into your own, still finding it, give me a moment, better yet, a few years, or erase the few before now. It all seemed to blend together. Processing the now, this moment right now, can be compared to the sporadic cycle of R.E.M. We fall under its spell each night, and the visions we produce influence, evoke, and seek out the manifestations that follow in our waking world. It's quiet again in my mind because I carefully extracted my inner workings and hand-painted them onto the pages of this book. Mustering up the words together to express adolescence - a beautiful and tormenting phenomenon.from an array of youth creatives. The 20 contributors submitted work reflecting on said topic, sharing their perspectives and the navigation of self during this crucial period of discovery. Now, I'm starting on volume 2 of Entropy and want to focus on balance. How do you balance your 20s? Over-indulgence and consumption is all we are exposed to, especially in the city. I'm looking for new faces to be featured, interviewed, and involved! Feedback during this time is also very appreciated.
