After watching an episode of PBS's Visiting with Huell Howser about Mt. Hollywood via YouTube I decided I must do that exact sunrise hike. The episode original aired January 17, 1999, and showed groups of people greeting the morning sun and relaying to the host Huell that they feel energized and at peace. It was a community of sunrise hikers who did this hike every day. So I went out and did that hike and got an immediate God Complex because YES I great the sun, I had the discipline to rise early, I opened my palms and collected his vital rays. The clouds sat in LA's basin and the skyscrapers looked like ships at sea. I hit 8,000 steps before 7 AM and now I have all this time. Rise with the sun!

woke up early for work and watched the sun rise over the lake while waiting for the train. corny but every time I feel sunshine on my face I stop for a bit and take it in bc not every day is a sunny one!

My lover put on the Gueguessr World Cup one night quite randomly and I was fascinated by the pro gamers who could guess a location on a map by the color of the dirt on the roads or the type of reflective stickers used on the street poles. As a geography nerd + Google Earth lover + Google Maps freak, I was like...wait can I play this!? And you can! So it's my new little fun game that's on my phone and I'm weirdly good at it. Just gonna keep studying dirt and poles so I can go pro one day.
