When I went to Europe once when I was younger, I was annoyed that you had to buy bottled water at every restaurant.
Now, as I've visited more recently, I've realized that part of the reason one generally feels better in Europe than in the US is because we are drinking mineral water all the time when we go there. It's worth paying extra for. That magnesium and potassium are essential nutrients. Bonus points if it has CO2.
Now back in the US I need Gerolsteiner or whatever I can get my hands on.

My favorite waters are Evian (for casual occasions) and Kaiserwasser (for special occasions) but I recently discovered Sariza water and I was very pleasantly surprised, especially since I got it at the bodega downstairs. 776 Sariza is mineral spring water from the Greek springs of Sariza. According to the company: The water has healing properties, it was suggested that it cures kidney ailments and many other diseases. There is a sign next to the spring saying: āHi stranger, remember, whenever you return to your homeland, you owe your life to me.ā Canāt vouch for any of this but I sure like the taste. Thereās nothing more precise I can say about mineral water as of nowā¦ but I will be going to water sommelier school next year and Iām looking forward to describing why I like some waters over others in a more convincing manner very soon.

This is specifically for NYC people. In Ridgewood Queens there is a hole in the wall high quality chocolate shop.
Itās run by an eccentric and amazing man named Constantine and his wife. He will talk your ear off for a half an hour about āthe benefitsā of chocolate and how itās a panacea for pretty much everything. How big chocolate gives away most of the cocoa butter to the cosmetic industry. Heāll also talk to you about how he asks ChatGPT about chocolate and itās wrong a lot of the time.
Youāll then buy a bar even though itās small and $10. But you will go home and have a little piece after dinner and never taste chocolate the same way againā¦

Ceramic pans are unfortunately not very long lasting, once the coating is damaged you canāt really fix it. Most of these pans also lose their nonstick qualities after a while.
I suggest investing in a carbon steel or cast iron pan, which can be re-seasoned if damaged. Or stainless steel which is pretty indestructible as far as I can tell. These are lifelong pans!
