I have very little to say & fewer people to say it to but sending postcards to strangers all over the world with little tidbits about my day & the weather & the song I'm listening to just makes me so happy. It amazes me that some people on there have sent/received over 20,000 postcards. I feel like it brings a feeling of more intention into my daily life.

i recently started postcrossing.
postcrossing is seemingly a very establish, very trusted international post-card-penpal service that basically only grandmas know about.
i have sent five cards out so far, i'm waiting to receive my first. its just fun!! its a fun thing to do on a night i get to myself, it's a joy to look forward to — both getting and sending. (usually when grandmas like something i will too)

Postcrossing connects you to random people across the world who also enjoy receiving and sending mail/postcards. They give you a random someone’s address and you send a postcard to them and you’ll receive one back from someone else random.
I’ve received cards from people in Uzbekistan, Japan, Finland, etc. and it’s such a joy to get a little slice of life on a card and send a little of yours in return. And they’re great to collect! I have a wall’s worth of cards now

Free food for them & as someone THOROUGHLY against "single-serve" baking it makes it so much easier not thinking about eating the leftovers before they go bad (or freezing & inevitably forgetting about them & throwing it out six months down the line).

Lost my glasses & the new pair I just got are possibly my least favorite I've ever owned, but they make me feel like I'm being revealed as a secret hottie every time I take them off.

So in love with all frozen fruit rn but strawberries specifically...put them in a smoothie make a yogurt parfait or just microwave them and eat them like that...who gives a hoot 🦉
