PARALLEL PLAY

I saw another user on this site rec this but she posted a picture of people on their phones. That's not how this should be represented! When I talk about parallel play I mean sitting in bed with my gf, her working on her latest crochet project and me reading with ear protectors on. We don't interact for hours, except for sometimes smiling at each other or either one petting the other for a sec. It's the best part of our relationship. I don't mean to spread negativity, this is just my truth.

doing homework side by side with someone reading and someone playing video games and someone eating and someone crocheting and someone petting the cat and someone scrolling tiktok and someone doing the dishes and ...... reminding yourself that there are ppl around you that enjoy your company. reminding yourself that silence isnt awkward.

Dirty fingernails

I put ‘dirt under the fingernails’ on my 2025 ins list and as I look down and pick at the black grime nestled behind each nail… I feel seen. I was right! A whole story sitting right at my fingertips (yep). sorry clean girls but you can’t sit with me
