I'm going on my first solo trip in a couple weeks. I'm going for a few days and i have no idea what it will be like. I've travelled a lot with other people and I hope that doing it on my own will be a new experience. Life is scary and connection is hard and sometimes even the most perfect relationships can become crutches. Going to nurture my alone time like a good sourdough starter.

it's a bit uneasy but it feels freeing? like you just step into the unknown and start figuring it out. last time i went on a lil trip by myself, did all the plannings like the to-do lists, must-sees, must-eats, bla bla bla. when the trip ended, i didn't feel like enjoying it? but feel more like accomplished? as a control freak, this thing is hard but i'm excited for whatever it is to come!!!

It sucks for a long time and then it doesn’t suck quite so bad and you just keep doing it. I don’t know why I like it so much but I do.

I’ve been volunteering at a Victorian cemetery since 2016. We plant era-appropriate flowers and plants in the grave of people who have been dead for 100-200 years. It’s such a peaceful, meaningful way to remember the long dead and interact with nature. also I’m certain I have ghost friends who are coming through for me on the astral plane.

just did hot yoga for the first time since Before. It’s so hard. I sweat so much I couldn’t see for like 40 minutes. I feel elated and strange like how I imagine the medieval catholic mystics felt.
