After watching like 10 McQueen shows in a row, Rei Kawakubo's clothes look so much more comfortable, and they feel so much more freeing. Also the makeup and the way the flowers contrast with the bridal dresses was done so cool.

Issey Miyake collections are always so cool but this one stands out to me for demonstrating how much more fun clothes are with cool prints, which is not always seen on runways. Dries Nan Noten does this really well in his collections with flower prints appearing everywhere.

So claustrophobic but delicate, like a cocoon. They make me feel uncomfortable and at peace at the same time. Feels very vulnerable and I think itβs where the beauty of this collection lies.

I like to imagine this is just the patients at a psychiatric ward walking around who just so happen to have immense swag. I like the feathers and shellfish and the bandages on the models. This show also feels less sexual than earlier McQueen shows, which I like.

This is like Kurosawa watching King Lear and then deciding "but what if it was called Kingu Riiru" and make it all Japanese. I love the reinterpretation of the fool in this movie. Overall, it was amazing and looked stunning, though it felt convoluted at times. 4.5/5.
