16/31: Dark Water (2002)

a lesser known movie from the same director who made ringu (1998). there’s a scare in this that’s literally the most paralysing thing i’ve ever seen. unfortunately this also suffered getting a terrible american remake.

Shutter (2004)

This anxiety-inducing Thai horror, mystery, and thriller made its way to Netflix recently and it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I’m not a big fan of horrors because I’d like to avoid a cardiac arrest whenever I can, but I really appreciated this movie and chugged along because of the amazing cinematography and storyline. If you’re into horror, photography, mysteries, thrillers, and you’re looking to practice your subtitle reading skills, this one’s for you!

if you’re a wikipedia addict like me and you like going down internet rabbit-holes, this is a cool website that will take you to random old websites that haven’t been updated in a while. mostly it‘s a lot of old personal websites and blogs which makes it a really nice time capsule from before the internet died.
