The first time we met to actually date was through tinder. I was in Sheffield playing a major festival đ so he must have liked me while he was there playing the fringe of said festival. then we realised we had met before when weâd both played a terrible gig in the pouring rain like 7 months earlier. Heâd come up to me after Iâd played and told me that one of my poems made him cry. Me, being not very good at tone and attempting witty banter, replied âdid it make you feel guilty?â as the poem was about being a woman in music. he assumed I hated him and we didnât speak again until we matched.

This happened to a friend of a friend
Guy matched with a girl on tinder and saw her on the train. spent The whole train ride deciding whether or not he should mention it.
They get off at the same stop. Hes still deciding. After all, she hadnât noticed him.
When they get off, they also happen to to head in the same direction. theyre taking the same exit. Jubilant from the piling coincidences, he says hi to her as they go through the standing turnstile.
She smiles. he tells her they matched on Tinder.
Then the turnstile jams. Theyâre stuck together for 20 minutes. The girlâs smile turns to disgust. they never see each other again.

a girl from my school started dm-ing me on insta and since it was pretty tame stuff (like literally no signs she was into me) I was sure that she just wanted to be friends with me. she seemed pretty cool so I dm-ed her back and we talked for a couple days before she asked me if I wanted to catch a movie with her. I said yes. what was the movie you ask?
all of us strangers.
by that point, I was still somehow clueless. we met up, she hugged me, we walked to the theatre, we got snacks, we sat down, we watched the movie, it was all pretty normal friendly stuff. I even ended up crying (to be fair I'm not sure who wouldn't cry at that movie).
it was only after the fact that I was informed by our mutual friend that she was apparently into me and that was supposed to be a date. I ended up just asking to be friends and we haven't spoken since :,)
