Saw Fountains DC there last night. They crushed it, but another huge highlight was this beautiful theatre. It’s very gothic and gorgeous. Re-opened this year I believe, and it’s truly so beautiful. Elevated floor in the back so if you’re a bit smaller you can actually see.

I grew up Episcopal. This is the largest Episcopal church in the world. I like it. It’s really big. The street next to it is named Cathedral Parkway. That’s a cool street name. Second only to Fell Street in San Francisco.

I've returned to this fountain many times since living in nyc. It's right off Grand Army Plaza and features these statues of a man and woman holding a child surrounded by sea-gods and fish and frogs. All the figures are being sprayed with water shooting out seashells at the edge of the fountain. It must be the horniest fountain I've ever seen but also it’s the scariest. For some reason it shakes me to my core in this primordial way that I have rarely experienced with any other sculpture. These 10 foot tall giant figures looking down at me, I feel like they’re gonna come alive. I can hardly look at photographs of the fountain without getting washed over with fear. Especially the laughing portrait of Nereus (I assumed it was Poseidon but wikipedia begs to differ). I recently included the Bailey Fountain in my newest music vid because I felt so much power around this plaza.

last term i went on a bar crawl and we only went to the most gorgeous old colleges and it sort of felt like sacrilege walking around there getting gradually drunker. we went to new college and stopped at the tree where they filmed some of the goblet of fire. they filmed some of wonka at the bridge pictured, think he drives a giraffe under here. i got here like a year after they filmed wonka and saltburn so i missed the swathes of people trying to catch a glimpse of timothee/ jacob elordi. begging the next film here stars dominic sessa, i love him. anyway, it’s kind of weird to live somewhere made up of film locations, but it does strike me just how lucky i am to walk past these places every day.
