What happens if PI.FYI were to have 100x as many users?
Right now it is a beautiful thingâI offer that as a newbieânotable in part for the sense of smallness and intimacy.
I'm wondering how the dynamic shifts if things get way bigger and what kind of tweaks will need to be made to both handle that growth and keep the spirit of things as they are now.
This is less of a suggestion and more of a rumination on what may be a future challenge...
One way to keep things tight: more granular tools, such as a post-by-post permissions options for comments.
The poster would be able to define who can reply to their Ask or comment on their Rec, maybe selecting from three options: Anyone, Pro only, Friends only.
(My Opinion: All Recs should always be public â but interaction permissions should be editable.)
The goal with this wouldn't be to shut out users for the sake of control but to keep the conversation manageable â getting a thousand comments on a rec would just be awful.

And it also makes sense that having access to post permissions settings and other settings should only be for Pro users. If that's the business model then it has to be incentivized.
