i love it when cities have a small movie theater, which looks rather like a small shop and anyone rarely goes there, even though it's way cheaper and has great movies. they hold a special place in my heart.

What I love about nyc is the infinite amount of screenings there are for all types of movies — I think of it as an event more than anything! Feels way more fulfilling than just catching a film that just came out at an amc or whatever. The theaters r so much more intimate! And then you’ll watch happy together 1997 and the colors will be so beautiful n bright and you’ll cry and feel the same way someone did after seeing it 20+ years ago!

i love how tiny and weird it is also $5 for a movie!?!? you can't beat it. i have only been a handful of times but i love what ive seen there, always feels very rare

it's such a "refreshing" feeling when someone makes a fictional website real. i always loved details like these. the other day i discovered lilyholic (from All about Lily Chou Chou). when i watched the movie for the first time a year ago, i thought that there must be an irl website like that, but i never really searched for it. so i started searching and i found it ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
