i think you’ll open way more doors for yourself if you learn italian! it really will make the other latin based languages a lot easier to grasp which will be super useful i think!! from experience, me knowing spanish has made learning french and understanding portuguese and italian a lot easier, for example hehe, so italian will be a similar case! also i think it’s a bit easier to get the hang of in general compared to german (having tried and failed to start learning german in the past LMAO) :)

Great language

Classically people will say this is good for you, and the truth is that’s because it is!!! It takes time to truly “enter” a new language, but once you get there, it will open your brain up to whole new structures of thinking. I have been learning German for the last year and today I had an actually mind blowing experience in class. It was very emotional! Awe inducing… Not to mention that memorizing new words and grammar structures will make you feel soooo smart. Also practicing something daily and noticing yourself getting better is amazing! And then, in the end, you’ll be able to talk to more people on this earth? What a gift.

Languages are my weak-spot. I find them very difficult to learn and don’t enjoy learning them but I realllyyyy wish I could. maybe now I’ve learnt how to play chess a language will be my next “thing I’m bad at” to do? i would like to learn sight language but that’s really hard to do without an in person teacher, so maybe I’ll learn Spanish
