every time I go to the BH I make a point to stop by the restroom in the lobby at the mayborne since it’s so nice - who is saying no to artisanal soaps and cloth hand towels which you dispose of in a tasteful wooden laundry bin!
was sick w COVID here and it was heaven. bathrobes, bathtub with view of city, extensive room service menu, stocked mini bar w delicious snacks and wine, what more could u ask for??
we are all anti air b&b but I’m boldly, violently also pro hotel. the housekeeping, restaurants, lobby bars, spas etc… they could never make me hate you.
The Proper is beautiful, has a sweet view on the roof + a good lobby for working w/ free counter culture coffee in the morning. but..the street it’s on has a pretty extensive encampment going on so you wanna uber in at night. Nikko is fancy and has an indoor pool but felt almost too fancy, like I couldn’t talk in the elevator.
I think it’s important to make the most of the grass part by the sidewalk. It’s fun to stare off into the distance for a while.. perhaps at a distant tree or a house or a church steeple or a mountain
Every morning I look at the mountains before I leave for work /\/\
