On our honeymoon, my husband and I went to a few European cities, including Prague. We were outside of the metro looking lost and this middle-aged man in a little fedora approached us. He offered to give us directions to a design museum, then decided to join us on the train since he was going the same way. On the short ride there, he kept rattling off recommendations, like “this cafe with the grannies.” I finally just gave him my phone, which I later learned my husband was nervous about, thinking he’d steal it and run off. I have to emphasize he was jolly and harmless. When we got to his stop before ours, he hopped off quickly and tipped his hat. These are his recs. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to go to any of them! But I’ll hold on to them because I loved Vienna and want to go back someday.
