Spent a month in a cabin in a rural town in Washington state and fell in love. Spent my days gardening, writing, cooking, working out with logs and trees, just living the most simple life. Being back in a city makes me sick to my stomach now and capitalistic 🤮. It sucks.

I know what this feels like. I was raised in a small town, from where I went to the national capital; and now I live in a village in the hills. I always tell myself I was meant for this. I went to the big city to prove to myself and others, that I can. Now, I get to live my life. So happy for you!

iras happy for you as well! What a pleasure. That life is definitely not for everybody, but every day I spend here in the city, no matter how much I love my hometown, I’m reminded daily why retreating to bigger spaces, surrounded by nature, wildlife, and smaller communities is so important to me and needed!

I live in quite a rural area and I love to experience the change of the seasons from my room looking out on the meadows trough my window sill. Living in a city must be quite nice because of the obvious reasons with everything being so close by. That’s not why I’d want to live in a city. I’d love to experience the poetic nature of watching every human emotion from my window, rather than the changing seasons

this is just a rant about missing my hometown. i hate living in a big city. fuck big cities. i just want to go down the street and suddenly theres nothing but this little tiny river flowing down and you follow it and you land near a creek and you hear the birds chirping and maybe there are those baby frog things in the river and you take off your socks and step into the river and its really icy and cold so cold your lips turn instantly blue but you stay anyway bc you want to and when you breathe you breathe the most crispiest air you've ever breathed and then you take a paper out of your notebook bc you've just come from school and you build a little tiny paper ship and then you play with the little tiny paper ship in the tiny river with the baby frog things and maybe you find the most prettiest rocks and then you put thos rocks in the ship and see how many fit in there until it sinks to the ground and in the end you stay the whole afternoon there.

Been off this app lately cuz ive been busy opening an art gallery in my hometown (San Diego) called Deixis Gallery! Been such a wonderful experience so far. It’s so beautiful to see how community comes together to help with every step along the way. Friends came by and helped paint, do construction, a friend of mine built us some benches from scratch, and a bunch of amazing artists participated in the inaugural exhibition. So hyped, truly recommend. And shout out to allstnyc for the encouragement back when I first posted an ask about opening a gallery! 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿also if you find yourself in San Diego, make sure to stop by! @deixisgallery

I got an IG follow and message last night from a girl I knew in MIDDLE school (12+ yrs ago). I haven’t talked to or seen her since then, but she’d often pop up in my mind, the last time being just a few days ago. All I remember is that I used to enjoy talking to her. the first thing she said in her message was that for some reason, she’d think about me often, and also, for no particular reason… we barely knew each other back then So, we decided we’re gonna hang out soon - don’t know why, but it just feels right. 🔮
