I used to straighten my hair every day for yearssss and now I can’t believe I ever did that. Got myself a hairstylist who specializes in wavy cuts. Got bangs again (always made me feel most like myself) except now I don’t fight the cowlick in the middle of my forehead nearly as much. Trust your hair’s instinct! I recently got bangs, which is something I had avoided because I didn’t want to look like a carbon copy of my mom (we already look pretty similar) but now that I have them I really love them. they make me feel closer to her in a weird way. photo of her below for reference
