I’ll use my hand to slosh water where I want it or froth up the soap suds, or my nails to scrape at something stuck-on. It always feels like a hack, something I’d forgotten I could do. it reminds me of what perfect tools my hands are.

I can’t always count on my hands to work anymore but today my fingers can write and I can do my makeup and make art. I miss a childhood I never had, where just for a moment nothing would hurt and I would not wonder whether I was normal

Somehow they've become my favourite body part in recent times. It's one part of my body that I can see is aging and I really like how it's going. They are strong and flexible and I have nice healthy nails. I have three calloused fingertips from playing the guitar and I keep my nails quite short and unpainted and I let them grow longer when I'm taking a break from instruments. I think you can tell that I play keys (although really I think that's from typing)

Listen, I think your room can be perfectly clean whilst having a clothes pile. It’s just a part of the setting. I’ll make my bed, be dusted and swept, and still have my clothes pile on my trunk. It’s no biggie And in fact it’s a bit cute
