I just watched Moana 2 with some friends over Thanksgiving break in this super cool theatre my mom found. It was cheaper than AMC by far—it was only $9 a ticket. The seats weren't as comfy, but you're going more for the experience than the quality of the seats. The popcorn was bomb, and the sound and movie quality were great. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. It was cool to see a new movie in a really old theatre.

The best movie theater in New York seats 35. See a movie here you know nothing about and you will be inspired. For me most recently it was a screening of Dave Wascavage’s Suburban Sasquatch. Simple Town has been lucky enough to play videos here twice. The first night was packed, the second night we sold two tickets, and both nights were perfect.

let me break it down… Anthology 10 dollars a lot of lesser known avant garde films mixed in with art/foreign films. most things are also projected on film. really good place if your looking for something different. Moma is like 10 dollars too but if you’re a student you can get a free entry ticket which allows for a free movie ticket you just have to ask the desk. Moma has alot of stuff on film also and is always putting up classics And retrospectives on filmmakers Momi is also 10 and has a ton of cool 35mm more mainstream films always playing such as kubrick or Micheal mann.museum’s section is also cute especially if you like the muppets. Lincon center is a good place to go see indies/foreign movies that have come out recently also around 10 dollars also do some retrospectives remasters and 35mm screenings Spectacle is a community run Brooklyn theater that is one room and plays obscure cinema very fun place to go out to with friends and see something different. Roxy has some good 35mm screenings good date place to take someone.very comfy inside this fancy hotel downside is little more expensive but overall one of the better theater experiences in New York. Warning hipster central however 😭

What I love about nyc is the infinite amount of screenings there are for all types of movies — I think of it as an event more than anything! Feels way more fulfilling than just catching a film that just came out at an amc or whatever. The theaters r so much more intimate! And then you’ll watch happy together 1997 and the colors will be so beautiful n bright and you’ll cry and feel the same way someone did after seeing it 20+ years ago!

I discovered hi-chew candy probably about 3 years ago which may be a little late, regardless they are a 10/10 candy. They have a bunch of different flavor packs so it never gets boring but I recommend the pack that has green apple, grape, and strawberry. Definitely on the pricey side but they're so good you almost forget you just dropped 5 bucks on a small candy bag.

my cousin recently just got a pair of heelys and i know that sounds a little wild for 2024 but im telling you for like 50 dollars these things are so fun. I spent like two hours of my life going back and forth in a parking garage and i would definitely do it again. go buy yourself, your parents, your grandparents, anyone...a pair of heelys today. (they were only 38 bucks td cause of cyber Monday so save the date for next year)

kei cars are pretty much ridiculously small Japanese cars with ridiculously small engines (smaller then some motorcycle engines). but theyre super cool to see on the road now that importing cars is gaining popularity. my cousin owns two kei cars and its like seeing a unicorn everytime, definitely pretty unreal looking next to the average car. the difference in car culture is definitely a super cool thing to look around in
