Idk why but my mother reallllllly liked this album and it was a pivotal part of my childhood. Beatles songs covered by some greats of that time(2002). Apparently when I was a kid and wanted to hear this album I would say, “mama, can you play the la la la song?” In reference to Mother Nature’s Son.

The first music I really remember hearing and liking from when I was like 3-4. They included some of the following tracks: Venus As A Boy — Björk Never There — Cake New Age Girl — Dead Eye Dick Wild Horses — The Sundays honorable mentions: One Week — Bare Naked Ladies Semi-charmed Life — Third Eye Blind

My mom used to always shit on Billy Joel when I was little if he was playing on the radio. I think it was just a thing where all the mom’s in the area I grew up in New Jersey stanned Billy Joel and my mom, in a reactionary sort of way, was like “fuuuck that music.” But I'm going through a phase right now where I'm listening to a lot of pop rock from the late 70’s and early 80’s and was listening to “The Stranger” and it clicked so hard for me. I think Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song) is like a near-perfect song.
