unfortunately for my income I am a barista by day and I can’t help but take my work home with me, girl… I just hopped out of a warm bath, put on some matching jammies (rec within a rec???), and now I’m sippin’ on a decaf iced oat honey vanilla americano… wow :)

At the end of a long day, just brew some decaf (so you can still get to sleep later, sleep hygiene) and sit down at the table, maybe light a candle and put some gentle music on and just have a conversation with yourself. After I got up and showered on Friday morning, I went down to the coffee shop on my block to get breakfast. As I was on my way home, the woman walking behind me said, “Oh, you look so cozy. You look like you woke up and thought I’m gonna get myself a coffee and crawl right back into bed!”

truly America’s pastime. I was reading in the park earlier and overheard a girl dishing about a breakup to her friend who was kinda implying she was in the wrong… and she was like “so did I lie? Yes. really just stretching your whole body so intensely you’re using muscles you didn’t even know you had and squeaking like a little mouse. wiggling like a worm on the sidewalk after it rains when you poke it with your shoe, but a little slower. maybe more snake than worm. but to each their own
