fun sweet emotional poetry book about an angel who comes down to earth and has a relationship with a man from the suburbs. the whole book is basically back and forth conversation, it's a super quick read, and it's so so good
short stories
dark, complex human relationships type shit
ennui
mostly takes place on the lower east side so nyc romanticism
quick read tbh would rec for anyone whoβs struggling to finish a book
by antonia angress, itβs a gorgeous contemporary novel about academia, the messiness of artists trying to survive, and thinks about loneliness openly in a way i havenβt seen before in a novel like this. also, a queer romance plotline :)
museums are good for the winter cold, they aren't super cheap but the art institute and the field museum are so magical and worth it :) the museum of contemporary art is cheap to enter and i believe the national museum of mexican art is free! if you're into poetry, poetry foundation has a free library and occasionally holds readings or workshops
