I recently spent a lot of time looking for a new laptop bag that wasn’t too big, too flimsy or too tech bro-y. Master-piece exceeded my expectations — strap options (on this model, at least), zipper, just the right amount of pockets, and just sporty enough to flex between leisure and work. The craftsmanship is very nice, and I continue to be so pleased with it after months of use. I found it secondhand online.

Lately I have been on the lookout for a quality black leather shoulder bag to use everyday, in the $200 - $500 range. Sadly, i feel like finding a good quality bag in this age is daunting.
Last year I went into a Gucci store because I wanted to buy a used Jackie and see the different sizes. After holding the bag in my hand, and feeling it, i was instantly disappointed.
I have been trying to understand what I want out of my bags, and I realized from feeling the saffiano of the Jackie that I like supple, smooth leather, possibly lightly protected and embossed. Sadly that stuff is prone to scratching, but I think I am willing to take the risk. I have a vintage Coach Ergo with many scratches, but it’s the bag I use the most because of the simple look, the many pockets, and the large strap to easily have around my shoulder.
Anyways I’m still on the search, but I am getting tired of seeing the same brands over and over again, and seeing more experimental construction that I’m not into. I just want a simple, classic bag. But this morning I found a Japanese brand called Etiam and saved this one in my bookmarks to look at later 💼

I was looking for a gym bag recently but realized really any bag could be a gym bag if you put a smaller dry bag inside it to hold your sweaty gear. I liked finding a solution with things I already had. But the main bag started to fall apart and I didn't have another large enough. So I started looking for something new again.
I found this guy. It's got large exterior pockets that can hold my trainers. Small interior pockets to hold toiletries, headphones, jump rope, etc. And a big roomy main compartment for tossing in gym clothes and a dry bag.
It's also like my ideal tote bag? It's got a hand hold, you can shoulder it, but you can also sling it if you need too by lengthening the strap. This thing is so versatile!

Got lucky and found this bag at roughly around $45.00 (converted from PHP) in good nearly unused condition.
Thoughts:
1. Denim was way thicker than what I thought it was going to be. Not selvedge-thick but also shouldn’t be too packed and heavy like I’m normally used to.
2. Design definitely has Gaultier trademarks that made it an immediate purchase. Really liked the button hole details around the rim of the bag.
3. Would have liked for more height though (my 15” laptop ruins the shape and didn’t want to risk stretching it).
