i have a shit load of coffee mugs mostly random tourist ones. sometimes the weird designs on them are so charming. or maybe it's just a nice typeface advertising a historic cafe i already have too many t shirts so this is the next best thing. maybe i’ll make that perfectly imperfect mug i’ve always wanted

handmade mug

ok i have a lot of hot takes about how potters cop out of accountability to consumerism and ecological destruction by saying their shit is hand made— but i have always enjoyed owning very little of a thing and having beautiful things that LAST and i love forever. this mug by Mao Projects is a recent addition that I won at a silent auction and i’ve been drinking coffee every morning out of it. i love it so far :,)

Body doubling

some people don’t know there is term for why you feel more productive doing work at a cafe with people all around you instead of alone in your home. or why folding laundry becomes less daunting when you have a buddy there to chat with. when I’m helping students apply for health insurance I’m really just body doubling with them so they dont feel as anxious about doing it.
