even though i’ve feel like i’ve been in the education system forever, each semester become a challenge in itself with new schedules, new classes, and entirely new curriculums to adapt to!! at several points it becomes so challenging, so being able to even finish the semester and be back home feels like a gargantuan relief! until the next semester :P

i have been in university for seven consecutive semesters and i just took this one off to work (fun work, don’t worry). i feel great and i’m actually excited about the upcoming fall sem.
i was worried that i would get bored or that i would fall behind if i took one off, but having a job helped both of those things as well, since i got to teach and be busy every day.
it’s especially important if you’re taking five/six classes every semester, because it takes a lot out of you to do that. taking a break will also help you prep for the next year and will most likely improve your academic performance too. good luck!

im graduating this may (feels weird to be saying this after 4 years), and im doing all of the random things that I can do only as a student. like, getting a bagel from our main student hub by myself and people watching! or, inviting a friend to meet up at the library and drink chai lattes while chatting about our day. i know im gonna miss doing these tiny things once i get thrown into “the real world” and doing these little things help keep me sane.

i think people don’t utilize their local libraries enough when they’re such wonderful resources!
one of my favorite things to stem from the library and library cards is the app “libby”! it’s an amazing way to get free books, audiobooks, and magazines digitally.
completely free if you have a library card (which are also totally free!)
go support your local library!

in an age where social interaction through merely every outlet is intentional, there is nothing more fun than orchestrating a curated social event where the hype around it transforms into something more!
last night my friend was talking to me about planning his next birthday around the theme of mario because his birthday falls onto march 10th (or mario day)! and it was the most fun i had in a while spitballing theming for games, foods, drinks, decor, etc…! the creative collaboration of it leading up to a certain date.
although something so small in reality it makes it seem like a modern day ball in my head! gives me something to look forward to :) plan a party!!!
