Are the biggest fashion mags the only ones left, like Vogue? I miss Entertainment Weekly, and Consumer Reports, and the days of getting 3 different teen magazines

🎪 Cabana (amazing interiors + each issue comes covered in dead stock fabric from a luxury brand) 🏸 racquet mag (explores the niche of tennis and other racquet sports) 🪄 a magazine curated by (Dan thawley is my idol!!!) 🪆 the gentlewoman (Penny Martin is also my idol) 🌸 BLUMENHAUS (deserves its own rec tbh— the most gorgeous large-format mag all about flowers, florals, plants, and gardening)

County highway magazine

Only exists in print. Picked up a copy from Spoonbill while visiting a friend in NYC bc I wanted to read Meaghan Garvey’s write up on Leonard Cohen’s Death of a Ladies Man. Now I’m hooked and subscribed. Imagine how mysterious and sexy you’ll look reading a newspaper at your local coffee shop. Kidnap them

Tell them to clear a day, plan out a nice (surprise) day together, drive them around and pay for everything. This doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive you can take them to get pie and sit on a nice rock to watch the sunset. Frankly a lot of people (esp people that have had a lifetime to gather things) don’t need more shit, and the best gift to give is novelty and a deepening of the relationship.

Going to sleep early

When I worked for a crisis line the busiest hours were 10-6. Thinking about it, a lot of grief in my life would have been avoided if I was just asleep.
