It gives you a broader understanding of the music you do play, and makes you a better comrade to those who do perform those instruments. Learn a pitched instrument, an un-pitched percussion instrument, a chordal one, a monophonic one, to sing… They all make you better.

Learning an instrument

I wish I could still play the flute and tbh i probably could if I got my hands on one but alas! The world will never know Also I wish I lived in one of those households that have a baby grand piano for decorative purposes but one day the artful child discovers that they have a natural talent and begin to effortlessly play beethoven’s 5th or whatever

New skills

I would like to learn how to play an instrument and I would like to become proficient in another language. I would like to learn the drums or bass or acoustic guitar. I’m not really sure what is the most approachable. Playing instruments feels very unintuitive for me. Maybe I can start over spring break.
