Audre Lorde’s autobiography (actually, she labels it a biomythography) has been my favorite read of the year so far. My best friend, Zoe, recommended it to me on vacation this summer. It is mesmerizing to read about Audre, who is wise beyond her years, coming of age in New York City during the 1930s and 40s.I also highly recommend reading the same books as your friends and exchanging after. It’s like rediscovering the book through someone else’s eyes.Â
