if i really plan to get plastered i prepare (or locate) a protein-packed meal or snack, and then gradually eat it throughout the night while aggressively hydrating. after the function i usually drink a ton more water and have another tiny meal before bed.
literally zero hangovers since i started doing this. one time i faltered and had a few donuts and didn’t hydrate until i got home - unsurprisingly i felt it in the morning!
