Ingredients:
2 lemons (only the zest is used for the cake)
3 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 bottle of mineral water
1 packet of baking powder
~3 cups of flour (add the 3rd cup gradually until it reaches a smooth batter consistency)
Cake:
Whisk the eggs and sugar together. Add the oil and mineral water, then mix well. Gradually sift in the flour and mix. Grate the zest of 2 lemons and fold it into the batter. Once well combined, pour the mixture into a greased and lightly floured cake mold.
Sauce:
Juice one of the zested lemons. Finely chop the other and combine it with 4 tablespoons of sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Let the cake cool slightly, then pour the cooled sauce over the cake.
