Leith Ross is a great one- such sweet songs, like you (on my arm), and weāll never have sex! so good!! a classic- like real people do, by hozier! amoeba is one of my fav clairo songs, her production is light and jazzy and definitely up that happy but gentle alley. For a speed round:

reading, writing and arithmetic is one of my favorite albums so itās a high iāve been chasing for years. i feel like itās very hard to replicate 1:1 but hereās some things that personally evoke similar feelings.
the cardigans 1994 album emmerdale - sweet vocals + running through fields vibes for sure
faye wongās ECO PACK-ēč²-ęµ®čŗ- light hearted basslines and playful melodies
alice phoebe lou- any of her work, really. not an exact match sonically, but thereās a similar sense of whimsy in her voice and lyricism.

Hannah Telle: when I checked out Adrienne Lenker (thanks for the rec btw!) her voice instantly reminded of Hannah Telleās voice and her album Hollow Glow
Arlo Parks: she has a super pleasant and soft voice. Impurities, Hope, Caroline, Blades are probs my most played songs of hers
Infinity Song: their most recent album Metamorphosis Complete is how I came across them. Iād recommend checking out the whole album honestly, all of their voices are lovely and compliment each other so beautifully - but The Sunshine, Lotus, Pink Sky, Sinking Boat, and their cover of Dreams if youāre in a pinch
Someone Like Me: is an album with a bunch of different artists featured that I find nice to come back to listen to. Some songs might suit your fancy on there

Sun June is my fav band of all time. Small following but deserving of so much more. I think Somewhere is my fav album of theirs but Iāve been enjoying their newer stuff as well. Lowkey want them to blow up??? But also guilty pleasure of mine is that they stay my hidden little secret???
Charlie Sztyk is one of my best friends and his music is so so so so so so so good. The Arc, Pt. 1 & 2 is such a huge album for me and Iāve listened through it at least a hundred times.
Seamstress is a band made by Gabi & Charlie Sztyk (sheās another best friend of mine, lol). Rumor has it sheās got new music coming out š Sheās like Lucy Dacus but at least 3X better. Weak Too is my fav song. Iāve cried to it often.
Squirrel Flower did a cover of āSo Hot Youāre Hurting My Feelingsā that I played on repeat for a week straight. I ended up jumping into the rest of her discography and havenāt regretted it at all. Sad but not in a depressing way?

anything ethel cain- her new album, perverts, is such an awesome project. but songs like strangers, thoroughfare, sun bleached flies, inbred,,, i could go on. also muna, lucy dacus, boygenius (of course), and like. more than i could list really ! itās the middle of summer here- hottest on record for a while (#globalwarming š) but iāve been feeling the more autumnal musical vibes (this being said, i love summer. do not get me wrong. summer is my girl. my FAV girl.)- but this means iāve been putting on a bit of the slower, folkier, indie music. still a lot of upbeat stuff, but a bit more balance.
