As i get older, i start to believe more and more in karma, so i try to go out of my way to be nice to people but sometimes i just dont gaf. This afternoon, as i was getting off of the bus, a guy way running to catch the bus, but even thought it would've been nice i didnt stall the driver as i was pretty tired and not in a great mood. But the bus driver stopped for him anyway, so that was nice. Approximately 10 minutes ago, at that exact same bus stop, I was now the one running for the bus. Even though I was pretty close, the bus driver didn't wait. So here I am, standing at the bus stop and late for my appointment. And somewhere in my heart of hearts, i truly believe that if i helped that guy this afternoon. I wouldn't have been standing at the bus stop for the past 10 minutes waiting for the next bus.

Recently I’ve been paying a bit more (like 50 cents) each time I ride the bus. I started doing this because I love public transportation and I want to support it as well as the bus drivers, but I think it gave me good travel karma. A few weeks after I started paying more on the bus, I took a train and bought the wrong ticket. After boarding the train, I realized that I had no cash left to pay the train conductor when they asked me to buy another one. For some reason, a man sat in the row right ahead of me and I guess he also bought the wrong ticket and when the conductor found out, the man paid the conductor AND THEN THE CONDUCTOR LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK. The public transportation karma is real.

I love to be surprised by a stranger offering kindness out of the blue. Just now I was jogging to the train, as I do because I always leave things last minute - so I was on time to make it. But a guy in a car just stopped by me and asked if I was going to miss my train and offered a quick lift to the station I declined because I was still on time (nothing against him) but I love how that random guy just decided to stop for a moment to offer kindness, such a nice little interaction to enter the weekend with :) there’s still lots of love in the world, despite the richest trying to force barriers between strangers Also reminds me of the times working in the supermarket where I saw strangers offer to buy things for others if the other person was just short, people they might never see again but decided to give money to.

a light story but i was in a car accident yesterday and i needed to cross the highway to talk to someone who witnessed what happened. this was kinda a hard feat, but specifically i remember one lady in her car just putting her hand out and slowing down to make sure that i could cross safely. while there are parts of life that make it seem like no one cares about you or certain people far away, with war and domestic/international issues happening to marginalized people, there are still pockets of hope i see with small actions like this. i think at times it’s wise to not dwell so much in the negative that happens, and just work on being satisfied with what you have going on now and the progress that’s been made with others kindness. if you can’t support your own happiness then you will do shyte trying to support others’ and just to add, i went to catholic school for half of my education, and now i am agnostic. i like to think back at that time that my learning from school influenced me nonetheless to be kind to others unconditionally (unless they turn on me 😂), and even that i feel like becoming agnostic has made me more understanding. i think some congregations and households reinforce this idea of excluding certain groups from salvation, when in reality you’re reading from a book that was manipulated through language translations, political greed, etc.

At my local shop , there is this one shopkeeper who works alot during the weekdays . We compliment and smile at eachother every so often whilst he scans my chocolate and energy drinks. I once went into the shop with a 50 euro note. i only bought food worth maybe 8euros , so i had alot of change. walking home that day i lost the money , it must have fell out of my pockets whilst i took my phone or keys out . I only realised when i got home and was running around my local area following my route trying to see if i could find the money . I went to the shop , queued up again and asked him if anyone handed in any money, he said no and offered to help me search , he pulled this massive unit out from under the cashier to see if the money had fallen below . It wasnt there :( . He walked me home to see if we could find it on the street. Anyways we didnt find it , i was so embarrassed but he now has this recurring bit where he gives me my change in a plastic baggy and makes me zip it into my trouser or coat pocket . I do not even know this mans name and i highly doubt he knows mine . Spread kindness with those in your locality , there is nothing better than catching up with your deli woman or favourite shopkeeper . I love knowing that those who know fairly much nothing about you can care for you , and that you care for them . Peace and love to all

This journey started when I was about 8/9 and my favourite youtuber at the time painted their room lime green. Thus, of course, my favourite colour had to be lime green. This later evolved to mint green as I found the sharpness of lime to be quite jarring and outdated. Mint green was more "trendy". Then one day I was scrolling through Pinterest and found these images of a bass guitar and some vinyl AM platform boots. They were the perfect shades of green, more muted and grey (which beleive make most colours look better). I also discovered that the finish of the colour can be almost as important as the colour itself. TLDR: grey-green with a preferably vinyl/glossy finish (like wet paint.)
