In terms of soundtracks, very little for me comes close to the soundtrack to Outer Wilds (2019). One of the only albums to bring me to tears, and the only one that has done it with a single note. Timber Hearth, Travelers, 14.3 Billion Years. Astounding tracks. A great nostalgic melancholy bathes the tracks of this album, and the sound of the tracks themselves are a perfect reflection of the rugged, natural aesthetics of the game and its world. Beautiful, tender, emotional composition. A great listen even if you haven't experienced the game itself. Check it out! Be kind! Love your friends and love yourself! Have a good one!! x

recommended by mossyelfie it is generally not the usual genre i listen to and im not been a fan of this kind of vocal style, however the more i listened to it the more it grew on me. it reminded me of Someday We Will Foresee Obstacles by Syd Matters. maybe mossyelfie will like it! this album has really sad feel to it that is contrasted so well with simple and lovely guitar arps. and the production is so clean! I will definitely be using this album as reference when mixing some of my own songs haha my fav tune is 'the sound of settling.' love how minimal the lyrics are and how fun it is to sing along to death of an interior decorator is a close second. love the progression and the lyrics there. again so fun to sing along to! we looked for giants is also an honourable mention. very crunchy also transatlanticism would fit so well in the video game 'life is strange', i could just imagine it playing in the background it and would have def made me cry when paired up with that storyline. did i mention how smooth the transitions are?? definitely the smoothest transitions between songs from any album ive listened to so far. so tastefully done! it was very fun to try something new. like i said this is not a genre i usually listen to, but transatlanticism really caught me by surprise and i think if i listen to it a few more times it'll definitely grow on me much much more. also, what an outro! such nice vibes. thank you for the recommendation!

only album that is BOTH a contender for my 2023 and 2024 albums of the year. truly beautiful and cohesive work by the wonderful underscores! me and my roommate really bonded over our love for this album and went to an underscores show early on in our friendship and it was a cathartic experience. small venue, songs interluded and introduced with early playstationesque animated clips on a projector screen behind the stage, a singular light bulb dangling above the crowd that flickered with the music during slower songs. the directors cut adds 4 songs but holy mackerel each is beautiful and chaotic in its own right. relistening to the whole thing while i clean my apartment and having a grand time

"Why would you make out of words a cage for your own bird? When it sings so sweet The screaming, heaving fuckery of the world?" the crooner's sophomore outing, finding beauty and hope amidst the end of the world loved unreal unearth, loved the debut. but if you ask me, this is his strongest album. there's something about the imagery invoked in this album that is so specific, but feels so unique to him. that underwater cover art kinda encompasses that; normally when we think of wastelands, its just dry nothingness for miles. but this feels very "noah's ark flood" end of the world. the calm before the storm, the storm, and the aftermath the VOCALS on this thing go apeshit btw this also just has some of my favorite songs of his. MOVEMENT is criminally slept on. shrike is so bittersweet and beautiful. dinner & diatribes and almost (sweet music) are absolute jams. talk...? TALK?!! jesus christ. i can't listen to the title track without weeping. there's such a melancholy that almost makes me sick but it's like...the hug you'd want from a loved one as the world caves in good timeπŸ˜ƒ! emotional damageπŸ˜ƒ! have funπŸ˜ƒ!

I have a pair of brown-tinted sunglasses I wear out most days. They're not too dark and I like their shape on my face, Recently, I've been on wearing them at night when I go for walks. It gives the world a warmer glow. Car headlights soften and glow like stars. Try it out some time, it makes everything a little prettier. Have fun and be kind! xxx
