Support local biz folks!! Such as yafa bakery in somerville….

Yeah you can do to dunks or go Howard Schultz mode or whatever, but there’s something so special about local biz. For example, I had a lovely suite of sweets from Palestinian bakery Yafa and it was just incredible, a taste of dates and pistachio, chai and mint, chocolate baklava and honey. please support local!!!

I can buy myself flowers

In my older years (late 20s) I’ve come to appreciate the simplicity and vibrancy of flowers in the home. I used to not like flowers because of their short life span and thought it was a waste of money, but supporting local florists and making my home more aesthetically pleasing has been a form of self care and joy. Now I grab a random assortment have my friends and I make bouquets as an activity !

In: paint and sip with your besties

For my friend’s birthday present back in December, I got her a gift certificate to a paint and sip event at a local studio. We did it together this evening! I might not be an artist, but my friends bring out the brightest colors in me!
