You don’t need to explain yourself for other people. It’s not necessary to provide a bunch of details. Say what you need. it’s not necessary to sit through someone’s rant about something negative or time consuming, you can end the conversation if you see fit. The idea of polite can be exaggerated in our heads and it takes up our valuable time and goes against our gut. Saying what you mean is polite. This is my goal for this year as a person who is always “protecting” people from my thoughts or opinions out of politeness (when they don’t even need it). It’s been hurting my flow of life and comfort of being around people.

If you like going to the movies and have a selection of AMCs near you it’s an unbelievably good deal. Even at my most destitute I have refused to cancel this membership because it’s basically a free activity anytime and a fun little date with myself. 3 movies a week for $25/month??? I will never shut up about this.

What I love about nyc is the infinite amount of screenings there are for all types of movies — I think of it as an event more than anything! Feels way more fulfilling than just catching a film that just came out at an amc or whatever. The theaters r so much more intimate! And then you’ll watch happy together 1997 and the colors will be so beautiful n bright and you’ll cry and feel the same way someone did after seeing it 20+ years ago!

Feels like gravity is slightly stronger for a second and you might get sucked down the drain to another world.
