the best community i have found is in the local music scene where i live. all of my friends are either in bands or are there to support their friends and their music. even if you’re not super into music, there’s still so much community in going out to shows and events to meet people you might not have met otherwise. genuinely some of the most authentic connections and friendships i have are with people i met in at diy shows in backyards. it’s worth a shot to just go to a show alone and see who you meet!!
i love exploring the local music scene! there really is something for everyone and hidden gems can be right under your nose. you never know when you might be attending a future star’s first concert for 5 dollars <3
I love going to small affordable gigs featuring artists I’ve never heard of! I‘ve often found some musical gems that way 🥹. Bring a friend, grab some drinks, and if you don’t like it at least you can laugh about it!
