With your interest in whimsy and YA fiction I would highly recommend Shepherd King Duology by Rachel Gillig. I flew through these books they were so engaging and had a really interesting magic system and a plot that doesnā€™t follow the standard ā€œchosen oneā€ you see in a lot of fantasy.

If we were villains: itā€™s one of my new favs by ML Rios! Itā€™s about a group of Shakespeare scholars that go to school in this prestigious university in BFE. They are doing a production of a play when someone turns up dead with no suspect. Itā€™s super thrilling and an amazing use of shakespeareā€™s text to tie the story together. 100% recommend if ur into horror/murder mystery! Crowns of Nyaxia: This is a series by carissa broadbent that (currently) spans 2 main books as well as a couple spinoff books. The two main books are some of my faves in the fantasy genre. itā€™s hunger games with vampires! thereā€™s amazing fight scenes, gore, poetry, and a little smut if youā€™re into that. I read both of these books this summer and this is the first time that iā€™ve read a spinoff in a series bc i loved the characters that much. enjoy expanding your horizons!!!!!

Especially YA. So much fun and blood and loyalties and traitors. SO MUCH STAKES. I recommend the And I Darken series. I read the first two books in high school and am finally reading the last book now in my twenties I donā€™t want to cause I donā€™t want to part ways but I have to I have to know how this epic ends.

this is one of this annoying things that actually makes a difference and makes your mom say I told you so. there's something about a made bed that makes me feel like my life is just that little bit more together and getting into a made bed at night is one of my top 10 favorite mundane experiences.
