Whether it’s art, history or something in between, something about museums excite me. I love seeing how creative people can be or on the flip side, how far we’ve come as people.
mxnmrtnz oh for sure. but I absolutely love watching other people take in new information or art. I feel like you can learn a lot about someone by watching the way they process
I adore them, I’m not sure if my brain is ever as content as when it’s in a museum! I’m not great to go with others because I spend at least 20 minutes to an hour in each room, admiring every intricate detail of what’s on display.
i just always get so excited by how much there is to learn and see like i now work in a museum and i’m always getting distracted by reading everything - highly recommend visiting your local museum especially if it’s free
When a museum is old and antiquated it becomes a museum museum- you can enjoy thinking about how it used to look and think about how people saw things way back when. The Natural History Museum in Manhattan is an obvious example of this. Old taxidermy dioramas of scenes in nature, wood grain everywhere… I wish I could only go to museum museums
I‘ve spent a LOT of time in the met over the course of my life in NYC. I take people there and I just show them my favorite spots. It’s nice to have some territory and museums are this really special dynamic/stagnant thing where there always new exhibitions but the core collection always stays the same.
Heard this for the first time when she performed at NPR Tiny Desk and was drawn to the rhythm. I was transformed to a little movie style montage in my imagination.
