If you like self-reflective nature writing, this is a beautiful read. I hadn’t read Thoreau since 2010-ish? & it was lovely to be reintroduced in this way. “Our doubts are so musical they persuade themselves.” 🗡️

A soulful celebration of things that are widely disdained and feared. The unknown, being lost, solitude, wanting, etc.. Feels like a warm wash over you that’s also energizing. A bit Rilke coded! Genre wise it’s a blend of memoir, philosophy, natural lore, cultural history, and art criticism. Changed my yung life for sure. And inspired the fourth issue of my magazine =]

I love finding wisdom in trite, intentionally wise and clever places (ex. Musicals) I feel like I’m always in a place where I could learn or know more about myself or why I am internally structured the way I am. Reading self help books can be a vibe and it is one to me. Just read “The Mountain is You” that one was nice, “Atomic Habits” is amazing, love Joe Dispenza across the board.
